Abandoned Dogs, Puppies Found At Amador County Home – CBS Sacramento

PINE GROVE (CBS13) – Two dogs, including one who recently gave birth to four pups, were found abandoned outside a Pine Grove residence this week, the Amador County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday.

According to the sheriff’s office, MPs responded around 10:40 a.m. Friday to assist Animal Control in seizing the dogs in a house along Spurlock Lane.

Both dogs are said to have looked malnourished and one of them was recently born and was still nursing. The sheriff’s office said Animal Control tried several times to contact the resident of the home but received no response. The puppies are said to have been in the house as well.

After numerous failed attempts to reach the resident, a search warrant was obtained about six hours later and the four puppies were located by the deputies. See photos of two of them below.

The pups were released to Animal Control and later reunited with their mother.
