After losing dog in fire, family gets puppy from community |

MARSHFIELD, Massachusetts (WBZ) – It was love at first sight in Marshfield, Massachusetts this week, and when you look at five-year-old Greyson and his new dog, it’s easy to see why.

“He’s a big cuddle bug,” said Greyson’s father Dustin Brady.

“That’s why he loves me,” said Greyson. “He really loves me very much!”

This playful, perfect puppy comes after a lot of pain. Exactly four months later to the day – he was the sweetest surprise.

In Greyson’s heart, he knows that his new buddy “Arco” (short for the Spanish word “arcoiris”) was sent over the Rainbow Bridge by an old friend he misses.

“We had a house fire. The house burned down and we lost our dog Timber, ”Dustin Brady recalled emotionally.

This beautiful new friendship was made possible by an incredible generosity from Marshfield.

The same medical team under Dr. Jeffrey Barrow, first responder and neighbors who supported her after a terrible loss then gave this new family member.

“It’s the best city in the world. The best veterinary clinic. They made this possible from one of his breeders down in Duxbury. I can’t even tell you how it feels. It’s just an immense overwhelming feeling of happiness. Nice to know that you care about so many people, ”said Brady.

This summer looks brighter than ever – filled with smiles, sunshine, and maybe some sleep. Greyson said he and his puppy love to sleep and be lazy!

“It’s wonderful. New beginning. House is almost ready. We have our new buddy here. Try to get back to normal,” said the father.
