Five people displaced, puppy hurt after massive Phoenix house fire

5 people displaced after a large house fire in Phoenix

A family of five escaped unharmed, but their dog sustained minor injuries after a massive house fire near 7th Street and Broadway late Saturday night, fire departments said.

When the fire brigade arrived, they found seven vehicles, a boat, a mobile home and an adjoining apartment building on the property in flames. A power pole in a nearby alley also burned.

The crews fought strong winds but managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other houses and buildings in the area.

All residents of the home were able to flee and the fire brigade was able to rescue a small puppy who had suffered minor burns. The homeowners took the dog to a veterinarian for treatment.

Two adults and three children were displaced by the fire, but no other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

A puppy suffered minor burns in a house fire on July 10th.
