Fresno County puppy who grew into beautiful superhero looking for forever home

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) – A Central Valley puppy has undergone an amazing transformation – and now she’s waiting for an equally amazing family forever.

Meet Nebula, a 7 month old pit bull lab pup from Valley Animal Center.

At the Super Adoption Event on Saturday, Nebula won hearts disguised as Wonder Woman.

But it wasn’t always easy for the young wonder pup.

When she and her siblings were found in a Fresno County orchard, they were covered in mites and left to their own devices with only 10 weeks.

The tiny pups were brought to the Valley Animal Center with rough and itchy skin as they had lost all of their hair.

But four months later, and they’ve all turned into healthy, adorable teenagers – thanks to a little time, love, and medicine from the shelter’s staff.

The staff decided to name the pups after Marvel superheroes because of their incredible struggle for survival.

“They are all superheroes just as they fought (during) the first part of their lives,” said supervisor Ruben Cantu.
“Their litter was all girls, so we named them all after Marvel female characters – Nebula, Gamora, Valkyrie, Wanda, Zuri and Black Widow.”

One by one, the superhero sisters were adopted. Now Nebula is looking for a home as the last of her litter.

She is described as a cute, energetic puppy who enjoys playing with other dogs and is great with people.

If you are interested in adopting her, you can visit the Valley Animal Center website.
