LISTEN: PUPPY’s Melodically Gripping New Track ‘Angel’ – News

The result of the band with the aim of “combining the power of November Rain, Purple Rain and Can you Stand the Rain times 1000”

POOCH released a brand new single.

It’s called ‘Angel’ and thinks the band is the most romantic and yet the roughest.

Squeezing loose and lairy riffs with some harmonic vocal choruses, it’s down-tuned and dense and decadent at the same time.

The band had this to say what they wanted to do with the track:

“In 2020 we focused on writing the best album the world has ever heard. Our goal for this first single was to combine the power of November Rain, Purple Rain and Can you Stand the Rain times 1000. I think you will all agree that we succeeded very well. ”

And we haven’t even started the music video, which pays homage to classic 8-bit adventure games.

Here is a little explanation from the band:

At PUPPY, we have always wanted to incorporate the world of gaming into our work. With the video for our new single, Angel, we all felt that the time was right to step into the world of technology. When our first suggestion for a fully immersive Oculus Rift sci-fi fantasy, in which our topless avatars fight intergalactic warlords, was dismissed as “really expensive” and “not at all believable,” we quickly suggested a concept in the style of Final Fantasy before, in which incredibly muscular versions of us went on quests and solved puzzles with giant axes. This, too, is apparently “a terrible idea”.

Our next approach involved a physically interactive training pod module in the style of Michael Jackson’s Space Scramble Training, in which we would lead players on a dangerous mission to Uranus. We threatened to drop our label when we sent the treatment. And so, one console at a time, we switched between operating systems and back decades until we reached the 8-bit capabilities of the NES, the only graphics system simple and cheap enough to be mimicked on our own.

The result is our new video for ‘Angel’, a (not at all) immersive 8-bit Gothic fantasy that we designed and animated with love and affection. We wish you a lot of fun x “

Let’s go then:

The band will also play their biggest headline show of all time, wonderfully titled “a night of Pure Evil …”.

It will take place on December 17th in the London garage.
