New Dating App Experiment Reveals the Dog Breeds

The pandemic has caused many of us to look for love online. If you haven’t been lucky, you may need to get a dog to add to your attractiveness.

A new experiment reveals the dog breeds that can get you the most pranks in dating apps. This study was carried out by the dog-friendly vacation specialist Canine Cottages, the experiment was carried out with one female and one male participant photo. Images of the most popular dog breeds were then provided with Photoshop on each image. Put these profiles live on Tinder, Hinge and Bumble, Canine Cottages, and then analyze the number of likes and swipes each profile gained from the experiment to see which pooches make the hearts of the nation beat the most.

For the female profile, the ten most stolen dog breeds that made men’s hearts beat the most were:

  1. Staffordshire Bull Terrier (121 strokes)
  2. Chihuahua (110 swipes)
  3. Mixed breed (104 strokes)
  4. Cockapoo (101 strokes)
  5. Jack Russell (90 strokes)
  6. German Shepherd Dog (84 strokes)
  7. Cocker Spaniel (82 strokes)
  8. Labrador (70 strokes)
  9. French Bulldog (65 strokes)
  10. Shih Tzu (62 strokes)

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier, or Staffy as it is most commonly known, was the most frequently stolen dog breed on female profiles, garnering 121 likes from potential pooch-loving partners. On the flip side, a French Bulldog (65 lashes) and Shih Tzu (62 lashes) were the least-lashed breeds of men, but with 65 and 62 lashes, there are definitely still many French Bulldog and Shih Tzuzu lovers out there!

And for the male profile, the top ten dog breeds that women were most likely to steal were:

  1. Jack Russell (20 swipes)
  2. Cockapoo (19 strokes)
  3. Labrador (18 strokes)
  4. Mixed breed (17 strokes)
  5. German Shepherd (15 strokes)
  6. French Bulldog (13 strokes)
  7. Chihuahua (12 strokes)
  8. Shih Tzu (11 strokes)
  9. Cocker Spaniel (10 strokes)
  10. Staffordshire Bull Terrier (9 strokes)

Interestingly, while a Staffy was the most petted dog breed in the female profile, it is the least petted dog breed in the male profile, with only 9 women using the Staffy to swipe directly on the male profile – 172% fewer pranks than on the female profile! It seems that men and women have slightly different ideas about which dogs are most “paintable” to them. The experiment suggests that women are more likely to be attracted to men with more conventional, widespread breeds like Cockapoos (my favorite!) And Labradors, while men prefer Staffys, Chihuahuas, and mixed breeds – breeds that are conventionally less popular – but still very much are popular!

Why do so many people use dogs on their dating profiles? James Preece, Celebrity Dating Coach and Relationship Expert, says, “Adding a dog photo can be a great idea if you want to be successful in dating. It provides an instant, fun icebreaker and makes it easier for someone to start a conversation. Instead of trying to come up with something, all you have to do is ask a question about the dog. “It also shows that they are active and friendly. If the dog loves you, so will others. For those looking for someone to start a family, it is also a fantastic way to show that you are a caregiver and that you can take care of something other than yourself. “

Commenting on the study, Shannon Keary, Campaigns Manager at Canine Cottages, “We truly are a nation of dog lovers, and many people are more attracted to people with pets as they are generally viewed as more affectionate and affectionate. “In this campaign, we wanted to uncover exactly which dog breeds are“ wiped ”the most in dating apps and whether there are differences between the interpretation of different dog breeds by men and women. We staged dating profiles with the same pictures of each participant to make the experiment fair and the results are really fascinating! It’s especially interesting to see that men were more attracted to a woman with a staffy in profile, while for a woman it was a Jack Russell. “The campaign is fun and we are happy that we were able to discover once and for all which dog breeds really move the nation!”
