Puppies from the Joplin Humane Society are going to be giving Starbucks a visit this weekend | KSNF/KODE

JOPLIN, MO – Joplin Humane Society dogs are going out this weekend and making new friends.

This Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the pups make their way to Starbucks on South Rangeline Road.

Those who bring a donation will be entered into a raffle to win a Starbucks gift basket.

The donations they are looking for include toys, cleaning supplies, and paper towels.

Joplin Humane Society’s animal behavior manager Thomas Jay says it is important that these pups are around so they can have social interactions before they are adopted.

“Bringing these animals out into the open, getting some stimulation, getting some socialization with these pups, is great for the pups themselves because then people come here and these pups are already socialized, great with the people, but also here that awareness is regained out there that these animals are looking for a home forever, ”says Jay.

Jay adds that many of her dogs are strays who have never had social interaction, which makes the event all the more important.
