Puppy Friends Social Club To Hold Atlanta Weekend Launch Party – CBS Atlanta

ATLANTA, Georgia (CW69 news at 10) – Are you looking for somewhere to send your dog for a day or just want to support local animal shelters? The Puppy Friends Social Club is planning an Atlanta induction party this weekend with food and beer runs to celebrate what it is providing for pet owners in the metro area.

CW69 met up with some lucky dogs and people we should add in Grant Park on Friday afternoon. The organizers have put up signs for the events this weekend. “I love animals, so I decided to get into the dog business, so I started caring for dogs from home,” said Kisha Chavis, founder of the Puppy Friends Social Club, who founded the club in 2013 in Los Angeles. An on-demand pet care marketplace is open here in Atlanta and across the country. “Sitters will be enrolling across the country and customers across the country will be enrolling, so there should be sitters in your state who are members of the Puppy Friends Social Club,” she said.

They make house calls and do background checks on the sitters. Many pet parents prefer this service to a kennel. “I call it a dog prison. You know, you send your dog to the kennel and he sits in jail all day, even though they say they go out to play, there’s nothing like being home, ”said Chavis.

Sitters and customers log on to the website and go through a selection process, and the sitters set their own prices. The company is celebrating its service with a grand weekend party, including a kick-off picnic in Grant Park that begins at 12 noon on Saturday.
