The Jersey Shore’s Top 5 Favorite Dog Breeds

What is the Most Puped Dog Breed on the Jersey Shore? I did some research and found the top 5. Is your pooch on the list?

I took my Golden Doodle Fozzie Bear to the beach for the first time last Tuesday when it was outside and 83 degrees unbelievable. I’m proud to say he is obsessed with the beach just like his mom!

There were so many dogs around that day that I checked out the most popular breeds, and I even got curious enough to ask people, “What’s your favorite dog on the Jersey Shore?” We have compiled the top 5 dog breeds according to YOU. (The five most popular breeds in the Garden State are identical to the five nationwide, by the way). That tells me Jersey handles pretty much everything, just said.

5.English bulldog: They are the cutest dogs in the world (although they have breathing problems and the akc does not recommend breeding them for this reason)
Bulldogs can be white, brindle, brindle, red, tan, or piebald. I once had a red English bulldog, RIP Big Sal. I saw three thugs that day alone!

4. Golden Retriever: An American staple food. They are the classic family dog and they LOVE the beach! They run, play, swim and I swear they smile.

3. German Shepherd: These dogs are great if you like your dog smarter than you do. I swear they’re so bright I’m a little worried that they’ll judge me. LOL. No wonder you’re a cop’s best friend!

2. Goldendoodles: Or any dog mixed up with a poodle! These dogs are so popular now and for good reason. They have hair, not fur, so they are hypoallergenic and do not hair! I have a red one that is 80% poodle and it’s great. I’m such a proud mom that he made the list! Goldendoodles are great therapy dogs, and they love kids.

1. Labrador Retriever: The Labrador Retriever has been the most popular breed in America for 28 years and they still hold first place. You are friendly, expressive, athletic and intelligent … by the way, what are all the qualities we want in a man, right?
