These are the 10 best guard dog breeds to protect your home and family

In the past 18 months, many of us have welcomed a new four-legged friend into our homes as dog ownership at the Kennel Club increased nearly eight percent in 2020.

But with 221 different breeds of pedigree dogs to choose from, there is a lot to think about before choosing your perfect puppy.

Some are looking for a dog that will make them feel more secure in their own home – and since many guard dogs are also loving and loyal, they can make great all-round family pets.

Here are the 10 best dog breeds to keep your property and family safe, according to the American Kennel Club.
