“Two things, yes, my puppy voice is painful … I can only apologize for being a total weirdo when it comes to puppies.

Vicky and Ercan meet Milo

Thanking the Dogs Trust, whose Puppy Pilot program supports the interception of illegally imported puppies and takes care of and rehabilitated them before they find a new home, Vicky said, “I want to say a big thank you to Gabby, Meg and the rest of the great team at @dogstrust which was absolutely amazing throughout the process and I can’t recommend taking it over enough.

“Milo was a dream come true on the long drive home – he’s playful, relaxed and incredibly beautiful … and I’ve never loved anything more.”

Before picking up Milo, Vicky explained it was ‘Pupmas Eve’ and said they could ‘barely control ourselves’.

“We can’t wait to meet you tomorrow, little one, and give you the home and love you deserve!” she wrote to Milo.

She said, “For those of you who don’t know that Milo is a Dogs Trust puppy and was originally illegally smuggled into the country before he was intercepted at the border with his littermates and taken into the care of the charity.

“Through their Puppy Pilot, they rescue, rehabilitate and convey puppies like Milo that have been illegally smuggled into the country to sell to unsuspecting dog owners.

“We’ve waited quite a while to bring Milo home and I know @dogstrust took the time to make sure Milo and his littermates are fine, which I fully understand and support.

“I know Dogs Trust is still being bombarded with requests to house their dogs.

“They go out of their way to answer as many calls as possible and get hundreds every day – my advice would be to be patient, it definitely takes time for the perfect dog to come and we’re so glad we waited!

“We’re so excited and can’t wait to see what his personality will be like – I want him to be cute and hyperactive like meeeee and @ercan_ram want him to be super relaxed and cuddly like him.
