Video Shows Alleged Abuse Of Puppy In Avalon Borough, Humane Investigators Remove Animal From Home – CBS Pittsburgh

AVALON BOROUGH, Pa. (KDKA) – Thousands of people fight for justice on social media for a puppy in Avalon Borough.

They are furious with videos showing alleged cruelty to animals. In one of the clips the puppy’s screaming can be heard.

After community members raised concerns, Animal Friends issued a search warrant and removed the puppy from the house.

The puppy is now safe and receiving medical attention.

In a statement posted on Facebook, Animal Friends said, “Thank you to everyone in our community for raising concerns about a video recently surfaced of a puppy in a residential area in Avalon Borough. After we issued a search warrant yesterday afternoon, our Humane Investigations team took the puppy out of the house. As with any ongoing investigation, we are currently unable to provide additional information or comment on the case. Our Humane Investigations Team will continue to fight to protect Allegheny County’s pets from cruelty, abuse, and neglect. “

The owner handed the dog over when humane officers reached the house.

Avalon police tell KDKA’s Meghan Schiller that an investigation is ongoing but no charges have been filed.
